Calla lilies are the sculptural ones, with a smooth trumpet shaped bloom and a long clean stem. They look nothing like a traditional lily and they are chosen for exactly that reason.
Tied as a sheaf they are about as understated as a floral tribute gets. There is no filler and no frame, just the flowers and their stems. Families who find traditional tributes too ornate very often choose this one.
